I've submitted a ticket to their support and notified our sales rep who is suppose to escalate it. Only solution right now is to downgrade, but Zoom doesn't make old version available on their website. Supposedly the same is happening with Wirecast virtual camera. What happens is the Blackmagic capture device no long show as a video source. Can't confirm the same happens in Windows. Luckily I had an old installer still in my trash bin and installed version 4.6.8, which brings back my BMD device.
Blackmagic desktop video download update#
I figured the update was security fixes since that's what the change log says. I was scrambling to come up with a solution since it worked yesterday and I updated after the meeting ended. Just discovered this today 1 hour before my meeting started. After May 30, 2020, all Zoom clients on older versions will receive a forced upgrade when trying to join meetings as GCM Encryption will be fully enabled across the Zoom platform. Please begin updating all your clients to Zoom 5.0 now. Update April 28, 2020: Zoom will be forcing client upgrades to v5.0 Launch Zoom and try virtual cam or Blackmagic capture device

Once installed make sure Zoom is closed and run this in Terminal Thanks to Patrick Wardle who helped me figure out that if you unsign the latest version of Zoom on MacOS, it allows these 3rd party libraries to load. If your virtual camera or capture device still no longer shows, you can follow the steps below to unsign which should bring it back. Update: As of Zoom version 5.0.3 they have re-enabled virtual camera support and Blackmagic capture devices appear to work again.at least I can confirm it works on an UltraStudio SDI.
